For Fall 2008 Maricopa is moving to Bb version 7.3 hosted by Bb Inc as ASP. Courses will need to be exported or archived in 7.1 and imported into 7.3. All login information will stay the same.
This move should provide for great system stability as it will not be as heavily impacted by District systems. However, faculty should observe best practices and keep items used in their classes backed-up on their local computer. (If you need help with this, please come to the TLC.)

So I went to the ELI Conference in January and met Cole Camplese who is Derector of Education Technology Services at Penn State and he talked about his "Community Hubs." Basically, the hubs were blog areas where people could get and share information. Each hub was specfic to system/purpose. They had a blog for their LMS... So I thought I would start a Blackboard (Bb) blog for SMCC... :)
